Parent strengthening
The organisation is what gets verified. The machine never is.
Every Agent Passport is linked to the organisation that operates the agent — its Parent. That relationship is the point: an agent identity with no accountable operator behind it answers nothing worth asking.
Strengthening the Parent raises what has been independently checked about the organisation behind your agents — the organisation of record, control of its primary domain, who is authorised to speak for it. It changes nothing about any agent, and it changes no identifier.
By arrangement
The boundary that never moves
A VERIFIED or ASSURED Parent does not verify the agent. The parent organisation's identity is verified. The machine is not.
An agent linked to a VERIFIED Parent is described exactly that way — linked to a VERIFIED Parent — never as a verified agent.
An ECZ-ID does not make an agent safe, certified, approved or compliant, and buying one does not make you compliant with anything.
The three tiers
What each tier establishes, and what it lists at.
Self-serve purchase is not open on this property.
VERIFIED and ASSURED are delivered by arrangement, because both involve evidence you send us and checks a person completes. The prices are published so you can plan against real numbers rather than an estimate. To start one, tell us which tier you need.
| Tier | Monthly | Annual | What it establishes about the organisation |
|---|---|---|---|
| DECLARED | £0 | — | Truthful self-declared organisation identity, published with independently_verified false and the date the declaration was made. Created for you free if your organisation has no ECZ-ID yet. |
| VERIFIED | £19.99 | £199 ≈ 2 months free | Independent checks on the organisation of record: an organisation-of-record match, control of the primary web domain, an authorised-representative attestation, and a sanctions and legal-status screen of the organisation. |
| ASSURED | £49.99 | £499 ≈ 2 months free | Everything in VERIFIED, plus officer identity document and liveness through a provider, authority to bind the organisation, enhanced sanctions and PEP screening, and a control-proven primary-domain binding. |
Prices are GBP list prices and monthly is the default. VAT is handled separately where it applies.
Where every organisation starts
A DECLARED Parent is a truthful self-declaration by the organisation. It is free, and one is created for you if you do not already have one.
And what starting there does not mean
DECLARED does not mean independently verified. It records what an organisation says about itself, with the date it said it — not the outcome of a check.
The check matrix
Exactly which checks each tier performs.
| Check | DECLARED | VERIFIED | ASSURED |
|---|---|---|---|
| Organisation-of-record match | Not checked | Yes | Yes |
| Control of the primary web domain | Not checked | Yes | Yes, as a control-proven binding |
| Authorised-representative attestation | Not checked | Yes | Yes |
| Sanctions and legal-status screen of the organisation | Not checked | Yes | Enhanced, including PEP screening |
| Officer identity document | Not checked | Not part of VERIFIED | Yes, through a provider |
| Liveness check on that officer | Not checked | Not part of VERIFIED | Yes, through a provider |
| Authority to bind the organisation | Not checked | Not part of VERIFIED | Yes |
| Anything at all about an agent under this Parent | Never | Never | Never |
What is stored when ASSURED checks an officer
The document and liveness checks run through a provider, and only the outcome of the check and the provider’s reference for it are stored against the organisation. Raw images and document numbers are not stored on the record, are not stored by us, and are never published. The public record carries the tier and what the tier means — not the evidence behind it.
What ASSURED is not
Our highest standard is still ours, and still only about the organisation.
It is our standard, not a regulator's
ASSURED is ECZ-ID's own assurance standard. It is not regulatory approval, it is not a licence, and it is not a finding that the organisation complies with any regime.
It says nothing about creditworthiness
No tier assesses solvency, financial standing, trading history or ability to pay. A tier is not a credit signal and must not be read as one.
It does not complete anyone's KYB or KYC
Holding a tier does not discharge a counterparty's know-your-business or know-your-customer obligations, and it does not discharge your own. Their obligation is theirs.
It still verifies no agent
A VERIFIED or ASSURED Parent does not verify the agent. The parent organisation's identity is verified. The machine is not. An agent linked to a VERIFIED Parent is described exactly that way — linked to a VERIFIED Parent — never as a verified agent.
A VERIFIED or ASSURED Parent does not verify the agent. The parent organisation's identity is verified. The machine is not. If you need stronger, agent-specific evidence about one particular agent, that is a different product on a different axis — the Agent Credential.
Revalidation and lapse
What happens after the check, and what happens if you stop.
Revalidated every 12 months
And again on material change — a change of registered name, of the representative who attested, or of control of the primary domain. A 30-day grace period covers the revalidation window, so an in-progress re-check never flips a record for administrative reasons.
If a tier lapses, nothing is deleted
The organisation keeps its ECZ-ID. Every child Passport under it stays exactly where it is, with the same identifiers and the same resolver pages. Nothing is detached and nothing is unpublished.
The history stays truthful
The period during which the organisation held the tier remains a true statement about that period, and stays on the record as one. A lapse is not rewritten into never having happened, and it is not rendered as a finding against the organisation.
Your ECZ-ID does not change. Taking a tier, moving between tiers, letting one lapse, or never taking one at all leaves every identifier, every child record and every resolver URL exactly as it was.
Separate axes
A tier and an allowance are two different purchases.
Buying a Parent tier confers no capacity
An ASSURED organisation has exactly the managed-binding allowance it would have had at DECLARED. If you need more bindings, that is the capacity ladder, not this page.
Buying capacity confers no tier
An organisation on the largest capacity tier is exactly as independently checked as one on the free tier — which is to say, not at all, unless it has separately taken VERIFIED or ASSURED.
Strengthen the organisation, not the claim.
VERIFIED and ASSURED are started by arrangement. Tell us which tier you are aiming at and we will tell you what evidence is needed before you commit to anything.
Your agents do not need any of this to have an identity. A free Agent Passport under a DECLARED Parent publishes a complete, permanent, resolvable record — start there.
